Default No impact

You may rest assured, I made no impact on the fish population in the Clackamas or Willamette rivers yesterday.

I tried for a couple of hours around the 99W bridge at the bottom of the first fast water. Went down around Meldrum Bar, didn't seem to be much happening there. Did the plunking thing at the mouth of the Clack for a while, I'm sorry I find that just hopelessly boring, I would need powerful drugs to cope !

Mainly just trying to remember how to steelhead fish and get all the right things in all the right vest pockets.

Like - - I lost my license and tag. December! What a time ... $13 contribution to ODFW, spend it well my bureaucrats.
I haven't been checked in the last 10 years, but I know full well if I go without license, I'll catch a fish and then meet the OSP Man !

The water is VERY clear out there, even the Willamette. Not quite that perfect shade of green. Pretty decent flow, though. Didn't see any kind of fish action. This was mid day, about 10:30-2:00. I think it's just a little early. Keep an eye on the Meldrum Maggots ...
