Re: Accubond bullets ?
baltz is one sharp cookie i used the Federal premiums in 7mm 160g accubonds last year and had great luck with them on deer. i didn't get to use them on elk. good luck, kris.

Re: Accubond bullets ?
i got to inspect the damage 7mm 140gr accubonds did on two bucks. i would say they performed exactly like a ballistic partition. devastating entry hole, partition like exit hole. i have had a hard time getting a consistant accurate load for accubonds in the 7mm rem mag or 300 win mag. i like what they do when they hit something

Re: Accubond bullets ?
Just wondering because I am going to reload the 180 accubond for my 300 win mag. I was at the range today and shot fusion 180 grains, winchester power point 180 grain, nosler partitions, and accubonds. Accubonds shot the best out of my gun.

Re: Accubond bullets ?
Thanks for the information. I was shooting the winchester supreme ammunition so all I have to do is duplicate that load and I will have it.

I would bet that the Supreme ammo will shoot differently than the Accubonds out of you gun. Velocity is the first thing that comes to mind.

Re: Accubond bullets ?
I've been debating the merits of switching from a very accurate Partition load to an Accubond load for my .06. If Accubonds are right there in line after sliced bread, then why are they so much cheaper than Partitions?
I've had so much success with the Partitions that I doubt I'll switch for shooting that matters, but anybody have any thought on the price difference?

Re: Accubond bullets ?
Price does not necessarily equate to performance. Construction techniques are what equates to cost, and I can see partitions being more expensive to make, than a bonded polymer tip bullet.

Re: Accubond bullets ?
I loaded up some 140 grain accubonds for my .280 rem and some 180 and 200 grain accubonds for my .300 wby. All shot excellent groups all the way out to 300 yards at the range. . I haven't had the oportunity to use them on an animal yet since I didn't get to hunt last year. Been shooting parttions for years and have a hard time going away form them for hunting but the accuracy of the accubonds is hard to beat.

Re: Accubond bullets ?
If your hunting Elk and deer with the same rifle I would stick with a partition bullet. If your just hunting deer the accubond would be a great pick. Its just very hard to beat the Nosler Partition Bullet. 14 Elk all droped on the spot with shoulder shots.......I have to go with what works for me. The partition is a more diffecult bullet to manufacture so the cost is somewhat more. The failsafe is another wonderfull choice on larger game. Accubond bullets are Noslers way to give hunters that used ballistic tips at high speeds and close range a bullet with better controlled expantion. The old ballistic tips had soft jackets and with fast rifles like the Weatherbys six inch exit holes where not great for the dinner plate. Nosler has come out with the Accubond to fill the gap. Thicker jacket with a bonding qualities like the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw.
I hate to packum so I dropum where I shootum
