She really hammered Skeletor on that cyanide mining deal in the Okanogans. Where would all the cyanide go? Probably down the Columbia. Good water quality is fish friendly. We'll have to do some searching for her stance on other fish issues. FYI I voted for Carleson over Locke because of his stance on fish issues.

Good point, Marty. I voted for her because she isn't skeletor. That was the only reason and I still think it's a good one. I know absolutely nothing more about her other than she's a dot-com millionaire.

Slade's demise was the best news our fish have had in a long time.

As to Cantwell's policies, I expect she'll be a positive voice for conservation. She was quoted as calling Gorton's economic and environmental policies as being more in tune with the last century than this one.

Unfortunately, G.W. Bush is supposedly considering Gorton for a cabinet position - most likely Secretary of Interior. The mischief he could cause in that position ought to frighten even the avid Bush supporters on this board.

Well get ready to pay some more dough in taxes with her in...especially the gas prices. I don't know much on either one other than she is always handy to raise the tax on something.
