Does the word Mindcrime mean anything to anyone around here, specifically from the 80's?

If it does, would you be interested to note that Mindcrime 2 is coming out late this year?

Wow. There's a band I never thought I'd hear anything new from again. I didn't get into them until Empire. I can't run videos at work, how does it sound?

First tune has some riffs that harken back to the first Mindcrime, but there's definitely a maturity there. I worry that they won't be able to crank it out quite the way that songs like "The Needle Lies" did, but we'll have to see.

There's a special re-release of Mindcrime on Amazon right now which appears to be Mindcrime and Livecrime CDs, and a DVD with videos from the album (presumably not Livecrime but normal videos), and a "Making Of..." segment.

Queensryche will be at the Roseland on 10/12. Tickets are available at Ticketswest. My buddy talked me into going because they are supposed to play the entire Mindcrime 1 track and then follow it up with Mindcrime 2. Should be good.

Operation Mindcrime is probably my favorite album of all time. I haven't heard any of Mindcrime 2. Anybody know if it is any good?

I've listened to it a few times and it's still growing on me.

I like the intensity so far. The backbeat is a little faster. But, the they transition into a couple of slower tracks to regain the feel and sound of the original album.

We were just talking about this Friday at work. I'm almost afraid to buy it. I can't imagine it stands up to the original. That was a great album!
