Default Cascade lakes patterns

Being a relative newcomer to flyfishing, I'm looking for some help with gear to have on hand for a trip into the high country lakes. What patterns and sizes do you want to have stocked in your? What about when all else fails, what is your fallback pattern, the one you trust the most to get the fishies interested?

Also, with base camp being at Timothy, what other nearby hike-in lakes do you recommend?

Thanks for any help.

jaysea:
My first choice is an imitation of Denny Rickard's "Stillwater Nymph" in medium or dark olive. I always start out with my best option.
Second choice is a medium olive Seal Bugger.
Third choice is a golden damsel nymph.

I am sure others will provide additional input.

Denny Rickard's AP Emerger is also a good pattern, for callibaetis or whatever else is hatching.
