Banquet & Auction

This is just a quick message to invite everyone to the Sandy River Chapter of Northwest Steelheader's annual banquet & auction. The banquet itself is full but anyone can attend the Auction for free. The auction starts at 7:00 and you will find a wide variety of household items as well as the requisite fishing gear all at terrific prices. We have both an oral and silent auction as well as raffle prizes. The event is at our normal meeting place of the Russellville grange hall at 12100 N.E. Prescott in Portland. All proceeds go to the Sandy River chapter for our chapter projects and activities. As an added bonus Jim Muck, the ODFW biologist for the Sandy basin, will be on hand during the dinner (starting at 6:00) and will fill everyone in on what is happening on the Sandy regarding the current and future management for wild and hatchery fish. Everyone is invited to attend.

Since some of us can't make it to the banquet, will you fill us in regarding the district biologist's plans for the future management in the Sandy River. Just the basics would be great. I know a steering committee has been working on this issue for months and I'm sure others are interested in the staff recommendation.
