Default Hey Jennie, I need some advice

I know awhile back you had a problem with someone posting on here. Somehow you were able to get their email address, and other info and had the police involved. How exactly did you do it? I need all the help I can get. I'll tell you what happened, and maybe some of you out there can help me.

I made a rod trade online, wasn't this page, but another webpage that alot of us visit. I have yet to have a problem, but finally I got bit. I arranged a rod trade with a guy in Washougal, WA. I sent my rod off to him and never recieved the rod from him. He even verified he rec'd my rod, and was sending his off ASAP. Well, a few months later and no rod and no contact from this guy. I have saved all of his emails from day one and even have the address I sent the rod to and receipt from the US mail w/insurance for delivery. I have a case of fraud here, and was wondering what I can do. He has a hotmail account. Any info would help me out alot.

Thanks....Jerry

I can't go into details here, publicly, but it had to do with I.P addresses, and a long hard tracking process.
I only do it in cases where it is really needed.
I would call the cops, they know the route.
If the BB you used tracks IP addresses, that would be a good start.

I might be wrong here but I believe that there is an issue of mail fraud in this as well, as the transaction took place through the mail. And that, my friend, is a federal offense.

Hopefully you have all the correspondances saved, as you will need them when you present the case to the various law enforcement offices.

As long as you have his address, proof of receipt, and the documentation you can sue him in small claims court fo the value of the rod. He won't have a leg to stand on.
