HELP! I would like to catch some bluegills.

I would like to go and catch some bluegill . where would i find a good place in the north willie valley/ south of portland (not in the willamette r.)?

Try St. Louis ponds. They have an assortment of warmwater fish there. There are several ponds there and the species vary from pond to pond.
Pretty much nearly every body of water around Portland has some gills just a matter of how many and how big. It's getting to be the time they are nesting so look for small gravel flats that are somewhat shallow. Good luck

If you are willing to take a spot on the willi above the falls I know a great place to catch a bunch of em.

Above the falls they are'nt bad to eat, or so I've heard.

I second St. Louis Ponds. Not many big fish there but all in all not a bad place to take the kids.

I caught one out of St. Louis Ponds that was bigger than my hand on father's day. It was a blast on my flyrod.
