Default Fish bags instead of coolers for tuna/Halibut

for the smaller boats like my 2052 WA. The bag can be stowed on the port side of the walk around. Easy to access and will hold 6 to 10 small albies with ice. Bag runs about 2 bills. Anyone used one of these. Would save alot of room not having to transport coolers.

B-14 Medium Fish Bag (30" x 65") Will hold up to five 60-80 pound tuna or four full cases of beer and soda. Rolls up compact.

B-12 Small Boat Bag (30" x 50") Holds up to six yellow fins or 200 lbs of fish.

For all types of fish. 14 oz. outer skin and 18 oz. inner liner. These bags are heat sealed. Easily hose cleaned. Ideal for boats in the 20' to 28' range.

Where would you store your ice until you put it in the bags with your fish? Would you just store your ice in them?

Good idea for a space-saver, but at 2 bills a pop, I think I'll continue to use my cooler(s) and fish box - until I win the lottery, that is.

I have 4 bags of the same design (30"x64") from Qabela's. They work great with a walk around cuddy. I will go out with 2 full of ice along with a 150qt cooler filled and some ice in the fish box.
Last year I did some searching and found that most were going for $200-$250 each, but found them at Qabela's for around $100.
The only issue I've had was with the handles ripping off with a heavy load.

The "space save" idea seems nice but you still have to have something to carry your ice in so it really doesn't save that much space. With that said, I just got a couple and I like them. I hope to get some use out of them soon

Is this ocean ever going to lay down

With the Maytag conditions and forcast this may be the only bag needed while chasing Tuna

Those bags work great! After a full day fishing and 18 Tuna there was still ice in the bags.

The idea is that the bags use less ice since there's no dead air space. Not sure if that theory holds up though. I bought a small one for my c-dory since the cockpit area is small. It works great for salmon and 35" halibut. Havn't got to test it on larger halibut

The canyon brand is very sturdy. I put snaps on the handles so I can snap it to the transome wall.

You can get body bags from evidentcrimescene.com for about 43.00 each for the super duty and 12.00 each for the medium duty. I would put ice in the super duty and put fish in the medium duty and put the medium inside the super duty. A lot cheaper if your going to use bags!
