With Traps on sale at FM, what colors would a newbe start with? With the weather report for this week end I might as well do a tackle thing........
Lead heads to pour, traps to buy so much to do so little time.
I dont know jack about them but I bought a pack of the green/yellow w/red tail ones. They looked like the zucchini clones I have so I though it would be a place to start.

I was just in the same boat. I went to MarkMc and he set me up. I am ready to kill tuna now and did not even have to think about it. Thanks again Mark.

Channel Island Chovies, Black, Blue, over white. This has been the most productive three years running. TWB will be chiming in along with Mark MC as they gave a class at the Salty dog convention in 2005 I believe. And by the way they are a HOOT to use. Learn the technique of sliding the boat up to the fish and casting to your limit right on top of the boiling fish. Then Fall Fall Falling while in contact with the swim bait. Twitch every ten feet or so until it stops Reel down set the hook and let that bullet peel the line off of your Reel.
