New Terrafin
Is it just me or do the new SST's look good. Well at least it seems that Tuna Town would be a good bet to try some trolling.

Re: New Terrafin
They look good. Worth a shot. But the ocean conditions look poor. 30-40 miles of 20-25 knot winds with 5ft wind chop

Re: New Terrafin
I'd say looking better, It is starting to look strangely like last year, last year there was 16c/60f deg. water all the way up to Vancouver Is. by now, altho the main 16c/60f deg. water was still off N. Cal. This year 15c/59f almost to Vancouver Is. with the main 16c/60f water still of N. Cal. It won't take much to connect, & open the "Highway" or "Subway" like last year. If this wind continue's the "Subway" can still sneak underneath the "upwelling" I'm hopefull!

Re: New Terrafin
For those who don't subscribe to SST, as of this morning, the 60 degree+ water angles from just west of Heceta bank to the mouth of Nestucca Bay. It looks like salmon trollers 3-4nm off Depoe Bay could be in 'em again and you should be able to see jumpers out past Haystack Rock.

Re: New Terrafin
Sweet! I love seeing jumpers from shore.
I can't quite tell if you're serious crabby, but I will say that things are shaping up almost exactly like they did last year. No need to run 40+miles at the start of season. We were catching them at 15...

Re: New Terrafin
Seriously, it looks like the warm water is right on the beach around Pacific City and just a few miles off Depoe. It angles west to pass about 4nm west of Stonewall and right out over Heceta.

Re: New Terrafin
Give it a couple more days and you will be able to stand down by the rocks along the hole and try an catch them with a long handled dip net! Come on water calm down. I told my boss I am on a 24 hr on call sick day. With just a call I will be sick. Calm that ocean down a Just Keep Fishing will be in the hunt.
