Default Picnic at Nehalem Bay State Park?

We are having a Father's Day Gold Tournament at Manzanita, tomorrow, then a picnic.

We are all going to, or were going to meet at Nehalem Bay State Park, but is it nice for picnics?

Is there a better place in that area? You know, covered, nice treed area? I don't see any tree areas, and all I know is where the darn boat launch is.

I thought about the boat ramp on the Nehalem up the South fork, but that's not very nice... I know there SHOULD be a good picnic area around there. I just can't figure out where?
