Default Lamiglas man?

I have been babbling about building a rod both here and at work. A rep that I was working with the other day, mentioned that there is a guy in Battle Ground or therabouts, that sells Lamiglas blanks out of his house. He said he would get me the number of the guy and email me. I havn't heard from him. He bought two blanks there awhile back and said the guy had hundreds of blanks. Does anyone know who and where this guy is? Thanks..............

There is a guy in Cottage Grove (Glen Wicks) he has or had thousands of Lamiglas seconds, he also carried some Cascade Blanks and a few others.... lots of blanks, no warranties, but cheap. $20 a blank for the lamiglas cert pro, $15 for the G1000's. No names or ID #'s on the blanks, you must go by feel. He had them in his barn in big barrels... he also builds rods... and has all of the stuff you need... a cheap alternative.
It has been 5+ years sinceI have been there?

I agree... Loomis is my first (and second and third) choice, but they are spendy... even with the awesome deals the we offer :-) I thought some people may want the info. ???

There isn't anything wrong with Lamiglas, I have some that were my uncles rods from way back. Still catching fish. I am going to try both those places and see what comes up.Thanks for the help gents!

Please don't get me wrong... Lamiglas rods are wonderful... my father is a die hard Lamiglas guy... and he handles hundreds of rods each year...
My personal preference is to fish a Loomis rod...
Let me know what you find out about Glen Wicks... just for my own knowledge, he was a great guy.. and an even better rod builder... until his health started to fail him.

Z,

Friends don't let friends fish Lamiglass.
Try D&E rods out in Battle Ground. His address is 6719 NE 219th st. Talk to Vern Dollar at 687-3856. They stock alot of discontinued and seconds of G.Loomis blanks and rods.

Zaq-

I believe the fellow you're thinking of in Battlegraound is Tom White; I got several hundred blanks from him a few years ago, mostly Loomis seconds.

He has moved out of state.
