Default Exposed Aggregate Concrete

Anyone have any experience using muratic acid/or others on existing smooth surface concrete pads to create the exposed aggregate surface instead. Just looking for feedback on how techincal this process is. Thanks. -Ryan

Have only done it right after it was poured. Used sugar water and a freshwater rinse.

Sounds like this is gonna be a serious chemical reaction on cured concrete. :lurk:

I don't think it can be done. Yes, with muratic you can disolve some conctete and expose rocks bolow, but on a large scale it would be very difficult to get a even exposure. I think for the most part muratic acid is used on concrete and stone surfaces to remove lime/dirt before sealing, and not used to create exsposed aggregate.
