$1300? Heck, I got a great calico at the Humane Society for basically the cost of spaying her.

Fishoman: I paid more than that just for my tubes,I'm kind of a highend guy you get what you pay for.If you are going to be fishing mellow water ( I've never fished down there Rt keeps doggin me )so I assume you have easy stetches of river to fish.
For $1300. you could get an outcast for real mellow stuff would probably work for you, they are a lot of work ,if you ever row a real cat you're done for....look at me..Os

Well dog my cat Os (that's an old saying I've heard in western movies - don't give your take on that ). Just to let you into some reality ol' bud, we don't have the kind of sissy water you puddle around in up there. We have some tricky class 5's with sinister hydraulics. I won't mention some of these secret runs above the driftboat runs because they have fish w/o fishermen. One that everyone knows about though is the N.F. Nehalem hatchery down run. I will let you follow me down that one so you can see where to row thru the strong tube rippin' minefields and then see how to doubleoar pivot thru the big drop hydraulics to keep your cat from flippin you off . Also with you following me I won't have to dodge an upside down cataraft . Ain't just blowin smoke here either. - RT

If I'm getting wet then it better involve a cat or some nookie Or getting nookie in the cat, etc. Figured this would give Cheery O's something to chew on. That is correct. I is back yessum. And the cool thing was I didn't fish one day while I was back home. I didn't need the stress..lol Did I bring this rain back with me or something?

Now why in the world would I want to give directions to my favorite grubbin' spot? More vittles for me. Don't worry O, the vet gave me some cream, but what does it mean when it says do not apply near open flame? I mean come on, like I have electricity nowadays. The hamster that was running the wheel supplying the juice fell victim to 'buffalo wing night' at my place.

Phish,

Other more experienced catsters can give you additional feedback, but I read the decription and what immediately jumped out at me is it's only 62" wide. That means less lateral stability if a strong hydrualic turns you sidewards into a wave. It also says it comes with full-sized oars. If you combine the longer oars with such a narrow cat frame you won't be able to pull back very far on your oars; especially if you have a beer belly! If you move the seat further away from the oarlocks to compensate that will put a risky load on your lower back having to bend way forward and the pull hard. Better check that out.

I'm in no danger of actually BUYING such a thing ! ! :-o

I ran the Rogue last year and we found ourselves in the middle of the Sotar company "picnic" - all out test driving the whole product line. Some really nice stuff. Those cats looked like they handled just fine, though I didn't see them going through the Class 4's

I leave the inflatables to my raft-happy pals ... still, whoever dies with the most boats - WINS !

Sotar makes a great boat their tubes are as good as Wings, just a tad more expensive,The Coho is Ok but I perfer their predator frame.
62"??? what wrong with that it's only an 11 footer go and measure you'res Rt I'll bet it's even narrower than that
I don't care for the web floors, besides that, this is a fine cataraft for all that wondered what a real one looks like
Of course not as good as mine
