Default Pikeminnows for Bait

Hey has anyone ever tried pike minnows for sturgeon bait. You would think they would work being sturgeon are bottom scavengers. I have been at meldrum bar and watched someone fish the boat dock and get some crappie and then walk to his truck pull out his bank rod and use them for bait for sturgeon don’t know if it is legal or not but it might work rp

They work. So do smaller chubs and suckers.
