Default bajadan2000 out of depoe 6/8/06

Dan called & asked that i post a quick report for him to advise of conditions he encountered today.
He went out alone hoping to get out somewhere near TUNA! water but found conditions "quite sporty" so he got out about 5 miles & turned around.
He tried a bit for salmon-nothing-
Did a couple of drifts north of Depoe & picked up a few bottom fish but the drift was "very fast" he said 80oz was not keeping things at bottom.
He dropped some pots but those results are not in yet.

I just spoke with Dan and he had some engine troubles. He used his kicker motor to get close to the opening and then decided it would be safer to have the CG tow him across the bar. He is working on his boat now, but isn't too sure about tomorrow. He said that his starter would not shut off. Any ideas?
later,
steve

Tough deal, Dan, and tough day. Glad you're back on shore - and once again, THANKS to our Coast Guard.

Having trouble out there is bad enough, but having motor problems while you're by yourself is ugly indeed. Hope it's a simple fix, and like I said, glad you're back.
