Just talked with Dylan and they turned around 10 miles out. He said it was a rough go at 10-15mph.

I kinda thought that might happen today. Not to good of a forecast but ya never know. They gave it a go anyways.

Thanks for the update, I was waiting to hear from Bud to make a decesion for Saturday.

Now I gotta make a decesion with one less data point. :depressed:

Crappy low tide in the morning, questionable forecast for Saturday (though north looks better than south) no confirmed sport caught fish all year, no coordinates to head for other than a warm spot on the SST.

Sounds like a day that was made for me and the tub and some gumption.

Dylan did mention something about a comfirmed half dozen caught off the columbia.

I talked to Bud about 9am, they were Butt fishing off of the Nehalem. Steep swells, 3ft wind waves. Less then fun.

They haeded in for some eggs and bacon...

Breakfast was outstanding! Well, it was ok choking down the disappointment of not getting to hunt the longfins.

A small humpback put on a show for us...that was the highlight...or at least the only "jumper" we saw.

One group reported large porpoise schools around the halibut grounds.

The water was very clean...even in close.

Mother Nature wins today...

I hear you Doug...it was a group decision...no one wanted the beating...except Sublime...he just wanted to fish!
