Default Emus and Sleeping?

Hi Osprey buddy. Calm down your excitement, this isn't going to be about what you hoped . One of our members sent this URL http://www.emusonline.com/ about a long line of emu products. You will be simply amazed at how many incrediable things emu oil and other products can do! It has 3 properties I'm interested in (Os, don't you even think about it!). They claim it penetrates thru skin and muscle tissue to bring it's anti-inflamatory action on arthritic joints, and whatever you mix into it will penetrate also. That is exactly what DMSO does do (it's proven though). The emu oil also contains omega fats (Flaxseed oil contains omega 3 fats, common to many fish species including baitfish and salmon, and is great as an oil base for home made fishing scents). I will try some on my ankle, and I think I will try it for fishing scent base, and even as a chem additive on cured eggs to enhance their PH/chem balance. Wouldn't that be ironic Os if emu oil turned out to be a true fish on agent?!? --- As for sleeping, I have Q's for anyone knowledgable about this subject. For the last few months I have come to enjoy working in my home office at night (I do other things than posting to fishing BB's). It is a time free of distraction from family, pets, and several other things. I often work from mid-night into the wee hours of the night. I sleep a couple of 3 to 4 hour stints, usually 4am to ?am if I'm not fishing, and either in the afternoon or early evening; so I average probably just under 7 hours of sleep. But now I've been told I look tired and that it's much better to get 7 straight hours than 7 accumulated hours. Anyone have insight on this? I hope it doesn't matter, I like this new arrangement. Thanks much. - RT

RT,
As long as you are getting proper nutrition, you shouldn't have any problems. I work a rotating 12 hr shift. Days and nights. In a 28 day period I work 7 nights and 7 days. With 14 days to fish. I wear earplugs and sleep in a completely dark room. That way I can achieve my deepest sleep. You would make a great noncturnal fisherman!
Shake it easy,
Steve

Steve, isn't that ironic I was at the local farmers market a few months back checking out a booth on Emu products I kept the paperwork, the stuff is amazing,I had the very same thoughts about it as a egg cure additive but was going to surprise you with it....now the Emu's out of the bag
I talked my youngest brother into using the oil for a skin condition he has had his whole life, amazing results
since I've got a few extra acres to work with mmmmm, maybe start an Emu ranch.....different than the Mustang ranch but hey any way to generate revenue

Not an emu, but we had 33 ostriches on our farm back in heaven..oops meant bama. We sold our birds to cosmetic companies, etc. I couldn't believe how many uses they had...geez and I thought we were raising them to replace our tired old horses.

Now that's a great idea Os. An Emu farm on your acreage! I know you would do just fine personally overseeing the breeding process . And maybe there is potential to add a Mustang Ranch type division? .... So, a little sardine or shrimp oil mixed into the pentrating emu oil along with a dash of SS and MSG just might be a hot ticket to ride on our eggs? We'll see. ... Who'd of thunk it? - RT

Is anyone worried about the effects of being penetrated by Emu fluids? Is it healthy to dwell on these creatures all the time? If you were hunting them or something I could almost understand. I can't help but wonder if all the sleep your missing isn't somehow tied into the whole Emu thing. Late sleepless nights, Emu websites, that worn out look in your eyes? Comeon RT, what would your family think? I'm not perfect and occasionally will stray onto one of those seedy websites , but for heavens sakes, Emu's? I think you may be a candidate for therapy and remember, denial is the first symptom.

Hey, I deny the whole thing! Oops, that's the first symptom? Actually, I've said very little about emus. It was Os that kept shoving that down our gullets . I wished it would go away, but Oakie Drifter found the above emu site and it portrays miraculous benefits, and has fishing enhancement potential! Do you think my personal disdain for the over dragged out silly story of emus was going to prevent me from sharing such valuable discovered info? Gee, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I withheld such important stuff .
