Trask Report for 11/11
Fished the Trask today. Brought home an early, winter run, hatchery steelhead. Surprise!
In any case, there were probably 10 chinook legally hooked and landed at Loren's Drift. I know it can be a mad house there, but when I stopped by, things were relatively calm and there was a fish on every 10 to 15 minutes. Most fish were in decent shape.
The river is low so I'm sure we'll have to wait until Monday when more rain comes to get another dose of fresh fish.

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Hard to say if there are any fish worth catching right now. I went yesterday and fished the guage hole at Cedar Cedar creek. I had no company, though it was a whopping 33 degrees with a stout breeze blowing. One fish caught on 8th cast on a spinner, about 14-15 lb. hook-jawed buck. Released, frozen, I headed out. Fished Wilson on way home in 3 holes, never saw a sign of life. If you go up river, you can find solitude, but may not find anything worth catching. Personally, I would watch the tides and catch tidewater unless it drenches the coast which is not likely from the forecast.

Trout,Myster.. I'm gonna give it a try in the morning just because I have not been out since Aug. in Canada and i'm having withdrawls. Never know though, I might get lucky if there was a decent tide or just a few new ones. And if not I'll give the guide shop a try on the way home. I'll let you know..

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Lorens Drift is producing fish. My friend has gone out the last two days and has come home with three fish.
Most fish are brown.
But he came home with a brite HEN!
He was using "Marie's Shrimp Scent" and a live shrimp for a teaser.
He had guys running for their trucks to get my scent today! Love it don't U.
Thanks,
Marie

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Well Marie, I guess I should have used some of your scent. Went to Loren's for a short time just to watch the combat fishing. It actually wasn't too bad but I was just out to play. My passion besides canada every year is winter steelhead. Maybe after we get some rain I'll give Loren's one more try.. I'm just much better drift fishing vs bobbers...

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Here is the picture of his Golden Trask buck caught today on Marie's Shrimp Scent.
He was fishing Lorens Drift and when he left there were no other fish caught.
He told his buddies about Marie's Shrimp Scent and they said "Oh we tried that stuff once and it didn't work.
As Mr. Ponting was leaving he noticed they were running to their trucks to get their bottles. he he he
Hope this works...
Marie

Thanks Jennie,
You're a genie in a bottle!
and my angel too.
Get some rest and stay warm,
it'll be cold tonight.
Hang onto you special pillow! (joke)

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Ok Marie, after going to different sites and still finding people talking about your fish scent, where do I find it and do you have a store... and does it work for steelhead?..

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Yes I have a store. Its located in Tillamook
If you go to my web site: at www.tillamookbait.com
>
You will get to know us better. Also my front page shows my live bait vending machine
In the vending machine you will see
1) sand shrimp
2) sand shrimp scent
3) night crawlers
4) chinook eggs
5) egg nectar
5) sturgeon scent
The machine is cool. It sorta looks like a pop machine, but isn't. It actually holds live bait!
It also holds my NEW Scents! They sell for 6.00 in the machine.
It takes 1 and 5 dollar bills only.
Make sure they are crisp bills.
Or you can come inside and get a bottle or two for 5.99 each. We open at 6am.-5pm
We will be closed Thanksgiiving Day.
I will be sure to load the vending machine.
As far as the question goes about whether or not it works on steelhead? Yes it does!
I think you will be amazed at how effective it is. But you have to do the testing for yourself.
Thanks for asking.
Marie

Re: Trask Report for 11/11
Thanks Marie, I probably won't get a chance to get down until the first of Dec. unless it rains a bunch. But thank you for the info. I'll check out the web site..
