would like to crab and fish in the bay this sunday. need reports on everything. also would like to gator fish in the bay. but dont know where. small boat. not fit for the big blue or the jaws. so inside only info. thanks in advance. shadcracker out. :grin:

No reports but if the weather is nice just go.

Stop at the bait shop at the launch and they will tell you eveything you need to know about crabbing.

Crab harbor is a short trip from the launch and a suitable drive for any small craft if the weather is decent.

Plan your trip for the incomming tide. You can still find a few crab this time of year. Alot of soft ones but still fun.

Sturgeon fishing in the bay could be tricky if you dont know the area. You definitely need a depth finder/fish finder.

The bait shop can also help you with this.

Went out today 2.5 hours before high to slack, 6 boats along north jetty and 3 at coast guard station, didn't see any activity. Soaked 6 traps for 2.5 hours and only got 2 keepers. Fish checker had checked 3 springers.
