Default Yaquina Halibut Fishing Tomorrow

Greetings,
Well the research trip got canceled, but the plane tickets were already purchased...so it looks like I will get a two week vacation in Oregon
I'll be fishing with Red Floater (Doug) tomorrow aboard the Pricilla. We plan on scouring the bottom off the lighthouse where I caught some fish last year. Is anyone heading out tomorrow? Give a call on the radio if you are out. We'll give a shout once we are one the water.
best fishes,
steve

Hope you catch one really large one with a healed harpoon wound. I still have that twisted ss braid that was attached to the poon.

Have been checking the light house area a few times with others. Haven't had any luck, no hits between 3 boats. Salty Waltly says that he had a large one on...probably a rock

Luck to you and have a blast

Lighthouse area still a producer. Have made four trips this year for halibut and between 220 ft and 260 ft have limited 3 out of four trips for 4 people.

WOW! I sure didn't have any luck in the 220 area. I was in the area of Wak's spot that I had so much luck the past two years. Would sure like to have you're numbers. Maybe I was in the the right area at the wrong time.

Skip, That's not the problem
What you need is some fresh shad scales on that gelcoat

Just found one of those dastardly things on one of the metal posts. Somebody should study the glue that adheres it to anything. Would probably be better then those on the market.
You coming down this way??

Hey Skip, I'd love to fish with you but I'm up in Sequim...Just got a 58 1/2 " Hali in 92'.... on what else...
SHAD...
We are anchoring up with shad baskets on our anchors like in AK...Say Hi to Joyce.... Glenn
P.S. The guy I fished with griped about the gluelike shad scales until I got the 100#er
Now the first words out of his mouth are..."Did you bring the SHAD

Nice catch. Now chase them down to our light house area, there's plenty of vacancies.

Van, the 40 fathom line is in effect every day. Halibut are open for inside 40 every day. but if you are fishing an all depth day you cant have bottomfish in the boat, Salmon yes.
