Default First Halibut Trip of the season

Well we got out after missing some great oppourtunities this season due to boat troubles. Still could not get it to plane and our trip out was slow, 10 to 12 knots. We decided to give the pile a shot and did good. Got to the fishing grounds at about 7:30, fought one that hung us up on the bottom for about 45 minutes and but still was done at 11AM with a 36,46,47and a 53. I had 3 Mikes on board, thatll drive you nuts, the three Mikeskateers. One was a Halivirgin. Thanks Beer Wagon for the slip usage, a lot of people stopped by asking about your boat condition. Thanks to my newly apointed Co-Captain-Ho, Hoggemin, your the best on board. It was a great day, calm and little wind.

Glad you had a good day Bill. With that ocean it was hard for anyone not to. Thanks for sharing your Tuna bellies. Hoggemin got nothin but net on that shot. Even with the bellies and some fresh Herring from Salty Walty (thanks Walter), we only managed chickens for the day...
Thanks again.

So why wouldnt the boat plane? You still having diesel problems and not getting the power you should be getting??

Its not from Hoggeman adding to much weight to the boat, unless he brought all his purple reels and rods

Not sure what the deal is but the supercharger is working as it should control wise. Ill be calling my favorite mechanic today. It wasnt Hoggemins fault, he only brought two rods and only one was pretty. I thought he wasnt feeling well at first, but he was alright.

Bummer about not getting up on plane. What the heck? Glad you got into fish though.
