Nuttinbutnet-

Here's the latest news from this evening's TGF:

"Bank anglers have had a good year in the gorge and action has been great for shakers, keepers and oversize fish in this same area. ODF&W checks indicate 27 legals, 7 oversize, and 414 shorts for 46 Bonneville boat anglers over last weekend. Bank anglers landed 45 legals, 7 oversize, and 34 shorts for 230 anglers. Guides working the Bonneville area have done well recently. Smelt and shrimp as well as eel has accounted for numerous keepers falling in that area. One guide landed 9 keepers and another 4 on Sunday in the gorge. They were fishing Horsetail Falls and up. Pro guide Dan Ponciano stated anglers he knows have been scoring well in the area adjacent to the Lewis River using shrimp for bait.

"Anglers are most likely to find keeper size fish in the Bonneville area."

Good luck & post the results of your trip.

I just got this report from Pro Guide Trevor Storlie who's fishing the gorge:

Bonneville: This is the place and now is the time. Most boats with keepers and lots of oversized being hooked. Smelt, sandshrimp, and squid are all producing. Fish that are being caught are all fat and sassy good fighters."

Oh, yeah ....
