Default Story Time

Sunday my wife and I got back from our Mexican cruise. As soon as I got home I pulled up NOAA to see what the conditions were like. Nice, 1 and 3! Monday we rested and longing to go fishing, I asked my wife if she wanted to go fishing the next morning (Tuesday), (she has never been out on the ocean before). She was hesitant and sked what time do we have to get up? I said 5am. "Why so early?" she asked. "Just because." I responed. With reluctance she agreed. (she was afraid of getting sick.)

At 4:45 I woke up and took my shower and made my coffee. I woke her up and we hooked up the boat and by 5:30 we were gone. Before I reached Newport she asked if we could stop so she could get a bottle of water. I said yes, so we stopped at the thriftway market and as I got out of the truck I noticed my trailer wheel was cockeyed. I looked underneath and the wheel bearing had disintegrated. (bad words)It is now 7am. I called a tow truck and they showed up at 8. At 9 they towed me to Les Shwaub. They said they would not get to it until 1 or 2.

We went off to kill some time and went out to the jetty to watch the boats go in and out. When we got there, we saw an Orca swimming out of the jetty. my wife thought that was cool.

As I backed out from the jetty I went into a sink hole. Stuck it in 4wd and backed out, then got the front wheel stuck.(more bad words)

Two kindly old codgers stopped and lent a hand and with them pushing and my wife pushing I was able to get out.

We went to lunch and after lunch it was about 1. I decided that we were still going to fish so I thought that I would stop by Les's and get the poles rigged up. They were done!

$89 for the repair, $55 for the tow, and I am going fishing! The first waypoint I landed 7 black bass. My wife was watching the whales. She caught only two bass, she was more interested in the whales. I brought in a total of 11 bass and never had a ling, not even a baby ling

So what started out as a crappy day ended up being a nice time for me and my wife.

So your wife pushes while you drive? I'll have to make mine read this!

Way to pull out the trip. Funny how a trip to sunny Mexico makes everything smooth for a while.

I haven't seen these southern orcas yet. How many?
