Default Cabela's rod blanks

Anybody know who they get their rods from or who makes their blanks? Anyone ever used one of their rods?

Fish-Cabelas rods are loomis blanks and D&E rods of Battle ground make most of them.Look in D&E rods in the Loomis web page and email them they will give you the scoop....TM

I got one of their Fish Eagle III, graphite, C44X, (44 million modulus) 10 ft rods last year. I got one of the last ones. They had to get it from one of their retail stores. They discontinued selling these and their Fish Eagle XML. My partner has the XMLs. He sent one in for repair (before I got mine)and they gave him a Fish Eagle II and a credit for the difference. They told him this was the best model left. He gave it to his buddy. They were ****** that I got a better rod from Cabelas. My partner puts lead in the handle butt to act as a counter weight to keep the tip up. He fixed mine up the same way. My 8.5 ft lamiglass has good balance so this isn't necessary with the shorter rods. I'm not sure what Cabelas carries now.

Not sure who builds all their rods, but some are made by a local company I have a account with.
Pac-Bay is the name of the company. Nice rods!! It is amasing how much mark up is in a rod.

I emailed B&E rods, they said they used to build rods for Cabelas but are not this year. They did confirm that it most likely was a Loomis blank, and even could have been made there. the search continues

We have built quite a few Cabelas (Fish-Eagle) rods and have had great results. They tend to be spendy... but fish very well.
