Default Whitetail Shed Mount Completed - (pics)

Back in April I found this pretty nice whitetail shed set while scouting for bears.

It scored roughley 160, making it a pretty nice buck for Montana. So I decided I would try and come up with a mount for it. After doing some research on reproduction skulls I ordered one. After getting the antlers attached to the skull using epoxy and the provided medal studs I played around with different angles and such to attach it to the wall. I ended up cutting out a maple plaque, then attaching small exteneded 3"x4" maple piece cut at an angle with a metal plate to attach the skull. I stained & finished the wood and custom made the aluminium plate. Now that it is on the wall, it looks pretty good.

What a great find. Real nice animal, and equally nice display.

I would be sitting right where you found those sheds for the entire deer season .BH

Dang, I knew I should've traded you a set of 2 point Blacktail sheds for those worthless Whitetail sheds!

I like!
