Default Bill Monroe

I think it is just cool we are doing this! I want to do more of this!
I got some more exciting news today.
Turns out, The Oregonian is going to cover this... Mr. Bill Monroe and his son are coming to help! He is going to file an article streamside.
You know, I got all excited when I heard about this, and then I got really nervous.... What if he can't come after all? I tossed and turned.... and then I remembered. Hey, I'm doing this because it is a feel good thing. Immediately after determining this, my stress dissolved, and peace came back to me!
I am SO proud to have the numbers we have at ifish. Enough numbers to make a difference! We can sit around and talk about fishing all we want, but sometime, somewhere, we should give back to what we take, right?
Soon as my sunny disposition (ha) returned, so did Bill's call, with a positive response. He will be there. So will I, in the rain, on civil war day, with the fishing red hot or not.
I am planting fish carcasses!
Jen

RT, be prepared for an influx of "trolls" if ifish.net gets the Bill Monroe ink. We'll get more good people, more disruptive people = more work for our heroic and courageous moderator.

He can handle it. Can you handle it, RT? Phis is right, there is going to be boat load of new people, but if you stress out about policing the whole thing, you will have a heart attack. Just go after the real yahoos and don't respond to all the crap. Make sense? Not to me!

As our numbers grow we will encounter a few "trolls"; but more numbers of good people. We as a group have not only handled them better than other BB's, but it has developed a stronger bond among us and a very civil and sharing BB community here! At some point if Ifish ever gets too big to maintain that atmosphere Jen, Members, and I will discuss how to best deal with or control further growth. I don't foresee any big probs. We have very good camraderie here. Thanks. - RT

I hope that the attention does not turn this fine site into a Bob R. pay site.

Phish you are right there will be more people with more advertising. I read about ifish the first time in Bills article about Jen back in April or so in the Oregonian.

The board has changed since I first started reading it. There is lots more people for one. It is getting harder and harder to keep track of who people are, and there personalities. I checked earlier this week and the count was 499 registered. This board will make a lot of changes in the future. Some for the good of a few, some for the bad of a few. Everybody wont be happy all the time with the board and how it evolves and matures.

Most people long for the old days and how good they were in there mind whether it was like that or not. Change is harder for some than others.

I am confident RT and Jen can keep the peace. I have lurked a few times on Bobs board and cannot say I like everything I see, but know we will be in some shape or form like Bobs board when we get to 1000 + members.

There is good and bad with getting bigger. We just all need to focus on the good for each of us.

There are a lot of people hitting this board who we can meet and make a new best friend while stretching a little monofilament together. My next next next new best friend hasnt found www.ifish.net yet.
