Default sea anchor

It's time to invest in a sea anchor, how do you determine the size sea anchor for my 26ft? Do they work as well as I have read about them? How many of you have one for emergency or to keep the drift straight?
I am headed out next sunday for some lings would like to find one by then.
thanks for any advice
Ken

You might check with West Marine. I believe they have the recommended sizes, or you could call them to discuss. Here is their web page, look under the "Safety" section. I have also seen some smaller ones at GI Joes. http://www.westmarine.com/

Check Landfall Navigation. Here's the link:

A bit cheaper than W.M. and shows the proper setup.
Good Luck,
