NR courtesy lights?
When I bought my boat,I wanted to have two sets of lights installed under the rod trays.A set in the front and a set in the rear. Anyways, when they rigged my boat they forgot to install them. I'm taking my boat down to have them fine tune a few things and they are going to get the lights installed.
I've got some mixed reviews from the guys at NR. A couple guys think they're the neatest things since sliced bread, the others think they're pieces of junk.
For those with the courtesy lights, how do you like them?

Re: NR courtesy lights?
Construction-wise, they are nothing special. Pretty cheap plastic.
That being said, I would not be without them. It may seem like they do not provide a lot of light, but lemme tell you, at 0'dark-thirty, no moon or overcast, and the river is black as coal, they seem pretty dang bright to me. I think they are great for what they are. They may not be the highest quality part out there, but they get the job done, they are relatively cheap, and they don't take up any space.

Re: NR courtesy lights?
I've heard of people running those "rope lights" tucked under the gunnels. Seems they have been very happy.

Put eight utility strips in the Predator, and they are great.
They are also very well made, even waterproof.

Re: NR courtesy lights?
I put one at the rear facing seat so I can rig up in the early morn. Wouldn't live without it. Do it.

My Intruder has the lights that you're talking about. While they look kinda "cheap", I haven't had any problems yet, and I love them!

Re: NR courtesy lights?
The Scout work boat where I work has 6 under the gunnels. Yeah, they're just plastic, but they work great.

I like mine....but wish they were LED's. I have had no issues with mine, but just feel LED's would be brighter.

I'm leaning towards the LEDs as well. If I left the LEDs on by accident,it would take a long time to drain the battery. If I forgot to turn the others off I'd probably come back the next day to a dead battery.

Seldom use mine. Usally wear a head lamp.
