Default Stryker Net Hanger?

Anyone have a good way to mount a net hanger/support in an Alumaweld Stryker?

I just use a rod holder set to vertical or the roof of the canvas.

Don't have a Stryker but do the same in my boat. Pole holder if I'm alone, top for more room.

I think I'm going to add some velcro strapping to the roof to hold the net better.

Guess I am becoming a little A-----R-----lately. You know--everything has it's place. SCuse'me , my Jack Russell 'Ruby' 000000000000000000000000000000000 is trying to type! I've just been having brain F---s, and can't come up with any solution that is low impact. Thanks Silver Hilton and Trap 50 for your responses!

As a fellow Stryker owner... I put a Cabela's clamp-style rod holder on the stern, opposite side from the trollin' motor.

Works great..... cost about $16 as I remember.

It's out of the way, and when you need it, it's available. I used to troll with my net on the top of my canvas, until a big gust made it fly off and head to the depths just seconds before I could recover it.....

Hope that helps.... Tim

I lost 2 nets this last year by putting them on the top. The first one was lost when we were fishing the head of the channel. A buddy called and said there was a good bite going on at the mouth of the willy. We reeled in and put the motor on warp 6, heard a little clang, looked back and saw the handle go under The second one just fell off to one side at the Ghost hole while trolling from the side to side rocking of the boat. My boat is similar to yours and I'm thinking of installing a flush mounted rocket launcher in the gunnel just forward of the back of the canvas.

I have found the best method is to put the net on top, and clamp it down to the top.

hey you guys that lose your nets.. Take your new net.. take the handle off. something so you can get into the hollow handle.. Fill that sucker with that expando foam until it is coming out both ends.. clean up mess put it back together..

I've done this and the net floats just enough that you can get it when it goes overboard.

I don't like to fish with the top up unless it's really nasty outside. So most of the time while trolling or anchoring we put the hoop of the net on the bow and lean the handle up against the windshield. We have a little bungee strap in place to hold the handle from falling to the side.

When all buttoned down inside the canvass or when traveling we put the net in a set of rocket launchers mounted to the flotation boxes on the stern.
