A new typing achievement

So I am sitting here at work and I just happened to notice I can type without looking at the keyboard

I know a lot of people can do it but dang I am really learning this crap. I have been typing really fast for a while I just noticed that I can do it without looking at the keyboard.

now if I could only learn to spell :whazzup: I would be set. rp

That's amazing, I've been using computer consoles or PC's for about 25 years and I'm still a "huntin & peckin" kind of typer. My kids laugh at me and say, you do what for a living? I think before I retire I may take a remedial typing class just to show them I can do it!

I was thinking of taking a class but I think it is starting to work it out on its own. rp

I took typing way back in high school and never really got any good at it. When I got into computers, I was a hunt-n-peck typist until I went back to the fundamentals. In a few weeks, I was typing OK without looking. Now I can crank out the WPM when I get fired up.

Go to the fundamentals and STOP LOOKING. You'll find the backspace key real quick but soon you'll find you won't need it as much.
