Default Children's play structures?

Where do people buy these things? Talking about the big wooden structure they can climb up and into, slide attached, etc. No clue who sells these.

There's a place called Rainbow Play Structures in NE Portland in the Hollywood area. Huge redwood and cedar deals in custom configurations. Try the phone book, I'm sure they're listed.

And you thought decks were expensive.

This is the Rainbow play structure in my grandkid's back yard.
The kids have a blast swinging and sliding. Their lots of fun. Sturdy enough for adults to use too.
3-Swings, a disc on a rope, rings/trapeez bar, slide and covered fort with accessories.....
The play area is bordered to keep the cedar chip in. Cedar chips are a nice ground cover for a playarea.

Everything kids like to play with on a nice day.

Thanks all...will look into them. Want to get something fairly specific, and COSTCO doesnt have it. We'll see what it would set us back, and then see if its more than I love my kids.

I agree about the cedar chips, don't use them. We put cedar chips in our play area and they truely are very hard on those bare feet. If I were to do it over, I would find where I can get some ground soft rubber material that I've seen at some of the parks.

Home depot sells the kits. I built mine using a kit and you can modify it to have whatever you want on it. Swings, slides, fort, rope ladder, etc. I used Trex for the forts rails 1and floor to avoid splinters. They sell the hardware and you buy the lumber there are wherever you find a deal.

I'm with RODACTION on this one.If you just sit down and plan one out, they are pretty simple, and alot cheaper. The money is in the plastic accessories, like a slide. I built one last summer at my father-in-laws, and I'm building one this summer in my yard, now that it is fenced. Neighbor kids are hell-raisers!

We got a used one from my sister-in-law. She got hers from Lowes i think. It just had the metal support brackets and the plastic stuff; slide, swings, rings, ect. The lumber you buy, cut and assemble the rest yourself. We got a great deal on ours, FREE!!! Its one of the bigger ones. My kids love it.

There used to be a place in Tigard right on 99w just a little west of 217 that sold the really high quality ones. Not sure if it is still there but would be close to you.
You might also check Your Backyard which is up next to the Winco which is near Costco in Tigard. Here is their website: http://www.yby.com/

Good luck,
Randy

Hey , right there in Sherwood off Willamette between Washington and Lincoln there is a place that produces play structures. Don't recall the name of the outfit.
On chips for ground cover: ask for splinterless chips. I work at a day care and we have had everything and the chips are much better than the stuff that is more like barkdust.

Check out a company called CedarWorks.

They ship, you assemble.

And when you're done with the project, you get to have one of these for a souvenir.... you might just be able put it to much better use.

Eyefish...that site is great. Fantastic "build your own" part. I built a simple design, then requested a quote on it. Thanks again.
