Default Advice about kicker attitude pls.

I have an electric steering device for my kicker. It operated with a simple 3 position switch right left and middle. A cool deal except for one thing - I have to look at the kicker to see what it's attitude is.

Seems to me that I should be able to hook something into the system that will tell me at a glance the attitude of the motor. Maybe a gauge with a needle or a digital gauge with a plus or minus.

I don't know - what do you think?
If you have any bright ideas how would you tie it in?
