Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board to meet Friday

SALEM -The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's Fish Restoration
and Enhancement Board will meet Friday, Jan. 30, to review grant
applications and current projects.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the ODFW headquarters building,
3406 Cherry Avenue N.E., Salem.

The agenda includes a review of the latest grant applications, overview
of the R&E Program budget, updates on current hatchery upgrades and
repairs, and other business. An opportunity for public comment also

The Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program was created by the Oregon
Legislature in 1989 and is funded by a surcharge on sport and commercial
fishing licenses and commercial poundage fees. The program is overseen
by a seven-member citizen board that reviews proposals and recommends
funding for fish restoration and enhancement projects throughout the
state.

Default Re: ODFW release

I understand that the "State" works Monday-Friday, but so do most of us.

It's really hard for many of us to get away from work to attend meetings during the week. I hope that doesn't sound like a "cop out", because it is a reality.

Too bad they couldn't hold more of these on weekends allowing more people to attend. Sometimes it makes you wonder if they really want our input.
