Default Siuslaw River Levels.

Has anybody fished the Siuslaw lately? After just checking the river level (8 1/2')...I am curious if this is to high to fish or drift with driftboat tomorrow...I would hate to skip a day of work only to get there and find the river is blown out.
Any information is appreciated.
thanks

Default Re: Siuslaw River Levels.

it depends on what section you are wanting to fish. generally the siuslaw near whiteaker creek fishes from about 8 ft down to 5.5 feet if it isnt muddy but best seems to be 7 ft on down to 5.5 and below the forks 5.5 down is the best bet.

I wouldnt burn a day off any time soon the river is are forcast to continue to rise for the nest 4 or 5 days
