Default Bose Wave Radio?

I'm thinking about getting a Bose Wave Radio for our new master bedroom.
Does anybody have any comments, praise, criticism, or suggestionos about these Bose systems?
Thanks!

I love my Wave Radio and wouldn't give it up for anything. I listen to it about 9 hours a day M-F. Since it is at work it is mostly used to listen to the radio, but early in the mornings it plays my CD's (and soon my iPod) plenty loud. While some say obnoxiously loud, they don't complain about the sound quality. The remote that is used to control it is very nice too.

It is kind of overkill for my cube, but several people I work with have purchased one for home use after hearing mine.

Check out the Cambridge Soundworks CD740...it gets better reviews and costs $100 less

We did not like the wave radio. It did not come in very well and was not near what they made it out to be.

However...

They have a great return policy. I think I had to contact them with in 30 days for a full refund and to get return instructions.

So you would only be out a little time and small hassle to get it an try it in your own home. If it did not work for you just take them up on there money back guarantee.

I would say ours is just "OK" nothing special. My main gripe is that it would not play cd's that I recorded from the computer very well. In order for them to play I had to burn the cd's on the slowest setting . I could tell no difference in the quality of sound over any other stereo.

A cheap reciever with Polk Audio speakers would outshine it.
Having a remote counts too. I don't care for the 'generic output' sound on mine.
Visit a pawn shop for the recv'r. and buy good speakers(POLK Audio!)

We don't have the Wave Radio, but my assistant had one. It sounded great.
We do have the Bose IPOD docking station/speaker component. It uses the same wave technology. We really like it and it buries any other competitors I have heard for IPOD listening stations. Not even close. The only thing I wish it would have, and believe the Wave Radio is the same, is you cannot adjust any of bass, treb, or mid on it. It's set and that's it... Still sounds great though.

Thanks for all the replies.
I just ordered the Cambridge 730 radio for $199. It doesn't have an integrated CD player, but we can use our DVD through it to play CD's and then it can double as a better sound device for our tv also.
It's on a 45 day free return, so no risk to try it, other than return shipping.
