Furuno in Camas
I spend way too much time complaining about stuff. Today I'd like to offer a positive rant!
What service! Took an older unit in today. There was some corrosion on the main circuit board - they replaced it free!! They also recommended a new cable. They checked the thing out and gave it a clean bill of health. I could have picked it back up same day if I was going to be back in the area. Nice people to work with and top notch service. All in all, I only had to pay $25 over the bench test fee. Thanks Furuno!

The factory is just down the street from our house! When were ready for radar I'm definetly going to lean that way.

Re: Furuno in Camas
I have always found their factory service and customer service to be excellent. Would own no other brand.

Re: Furuno in Camas
Where is the Furuno in Camas? Or how do I get in touch with them? The Furuno website wasn't very helpful in finding a phone number(or even that is existed). I have a 1622 that I'd like to get checked out before installation. Thanks

Re: Furuno in Camas
From Vancouver USA going to Camas on Hwy 14.
Going east on hwy 14, turn north on 164th ave.
Take a right on S 34th (about 1/2 mile).
Go past the high voltage power lines(about 2 miles). It's the second building on the right past the power lines.
Foruno does not retail out of the factory, I think they still have a show room.
Good luck,
Mike

Re: Furuno in Camas
That's the same model I just took in.
Here's the phone number (360) 834-9300. It's located at 4400 Pacific Rim in Camas, WA.
Highway 14 East. Take 192nd Ave. exit. Go left on 192nd, through all the constuction. Turn right on 34th, which turns into Pacific Rim. Go about 1.5 miles and it's on the right hand side. (Thanks to Boatdog for tracking this down for me yesterday).
Good luck,
CrF

Re: Furuno in Camas
Thanks guys.
The $25 bench check fee is cheap compared to the hassle of chasing problems around. Knowing the unit is working BEFORE you install it is a very nice perk. I didn't know that Furuno had a location so close but now I'm sure glad I bought a Furuno. With all the working parts in a radar, having a service center close by is GREAT!

Re: Furuno in Camas
Ummm...it was a $75 bench fee for me. I only paid a total of $100 for new board, cable and a diagnostic. Still a great deal.

Re: Furuno in Camas
Oh, I misread. I thought you said $25 bench test not $25 OVER bench test fee. Still worth it though. Thanks

Re: Furuno in Camas
It would be faster to get off hwy 14 on 192nd (exit #10) ave and turn right on 34th (the second stop light). It's a new road that goes through the old rock quarry.
If anyone is going to be in the area and wants to get together for a I live right up the hill.
