Default OCEAN Lamination Party - THANK YOU!

Many folks gave up part of their Sunday to help laminate the rockfish id cards we are distributing.

Thanks to all who came. We had many board members as well an several non-members come to help. Some drove great distances for this cause. The many hands made the work load lighter, and we got the last of them laminated and info shets attached in record time.

Again thanks to all who helped in this project. We appreciate your help in getting the cards done in time for the opening of Halibut season.

Sounds like we have the south and central coast tackle stores fairly well covered regarding card distribution sites. If you are aware of shops in Astoria, Warrington, Hammond or those general areas, pls let us know so we can make contact and get them some id cards for distribution.

Again, thanks to all who've helped is during the two lamination parties get these finished and distributed.

Bluebeast - Dale, you beat me to it.

I would also like to say Thank You to all of you who made the effort and gave up a sunny day for the future of our fishing.

With some luck we will see this small beginning make a difference.

Thanks for getting this info out to all of us. I have picked up my laminated card at the local Englund Marine Store and got two more for friends. They will be a great resource to have in the boat.

I, too, would like to extend my thanks to all who helped out yesterday. I was absolutely shocked to see the commitment from so many folks who turned out to lend a hand on such a beautiful Sunday.

It is said that "many hands make light work" and that was certainly the case yesteday. The dedication from a handful of concerned folks made laminating 2500 fish ID cards in just a few short hours possible. We finished so early that we were able to hold a brief meeting to discuss the many challenges we face, bat around some ideas and settle some finacial matters.

Thanks everyone! I can't say enough about how great it is to work with such a wonderful bunch of folks!

Yes, there were folks there besides board members, great to see the committment is pretty widespread among the dogs!

Please take note: when you're in a tackle store at the coast, ask about the laminated rockfish ID cards. They sometimes keep them under the counter so they don't all dissappear too quickly. The Newport Englunds was supportive, they had a note re: the ID cards on their announcement whiteboard.(Thanks Dean for the support!) If they don't have any or even worse, don't know about the laminated cards, be sure to let Edsr, Blubeast, OB, or Janice know and they will see the cards get to the store if the store wants them and will give them out.

Sure thing, Gene! I'll see about dropping some off to ya on the 2nd when I'm in town. Are you carrying the Shelton Fish Decenders, too?
