Undoublably the Best fishing spots are where the fish are.

A little known secret!
If you are fishing from the bank they will be out in the boat fishing range, If you are fishing from a boat they will be in the holes close to the banks loaded with bank maggots . (JK)

And the bite usually happens an hour both sides of you being there. Hence the "You should have been here an hour ago" or the "You shouldn't have left so soon yesterday" comments.

Fishon, I think it's pretty obvious that you better go tomorrow AND Friday so you won't have to hear this weekend that you shoulda been here the last couple days . There are so many unpredictable prospects by this weekend that maybe putting them in a hat and pulling out the place to go will wind up the luckiest pick. For the N. coast I would fish the Trask tidewater; at the hospital hole for bankfishing or the 2 bit hole from a boat- get there EARLY (Friday night wouldn't be too early). Inland the Clackamas R. has perked up with the recent rain and colder nights to cool the water. good luck. - RT
