Neah Bay open seat: Lets try this again!
Well I am going to give this another try and "may" have a seat available. I will know this evening. Will fish saturday and sunday. I know last week there was a guy that could go and I thought I kept his PM but it looks like it is gone. Anyway if someone is interested then pm me and I will let you know this evening. I really should open the seat now since the one crew that is iffy is trying to deceide between fishing and skiing. But I got to go with him if he wants because he caught the largest albacore on my boat so far!

Fishing / Neah Bay - he has to think about that??
I also have an open seat for Neah Bay and will only be fishing Saturday. I have a 22' 2003 Proline Walk and am leaning towards heading out to 72 Square. Since this is my first Neah Bay trip I'm looking for someone with some experience to share.

Paul, Neah Bay Halibut season doesn't start until May 9th. The post you replied to seems to be an old one. I would hate to see you drive all the way up there and be surprised by the regs.

Duh, I mistook the date that Tracker "reged" as the date of the post. My bad. I'm still curious though as to what you are fishing for at Neah. Or maybe you are fishing the Candian side...?

I assumed Tracker was speaking of the opener. My bad if I read it wrong.
MY play is to fish for Halibut, Lingcod, and other bottom fish on Saturday, May 13. I'll be launching late Friday night and crashing on the boat for a few hours before heading out. US side only.

Will be fishing this weekend! On the canadian side. Its open there. If water good we will head for blue dot or swiftsure if it is a bit sporty! I don't even worry about the US side halibut.

Tracker, I've already committed to run white water this weekend. I still want to get out with you sometime in Just Keep Fishin. Keep me in mind.

Paul S., give me a call sometime at 425-681-1811 I live in Maple Valley, just down the road from you, and have some Neah Bay experience.
An even better place (IMHO) to go halibut fishing is out of La Push. At La Push you only need US license, there is about 1/10 the crowds, and the run out (about 30 miles) is just about the same.

Tracker,
If you see some goofy looking fat guy in a brown cowboy hat and blue float coat, that will be me. Going out with Tomictime on the Something Catchy fishing machine. Hope to land a few foreign flatties myself. Maybe we'll see you on the water.

Re: Neah Bay open seat: Lets try this again!
I will be up there with a group of freedivers this weekend. Otherwise I would love to join the flotilla. I plan on going up to get my Canadian license next week, so I will definitely be up for the next trip and will have an open seat or two. Hopefully I will see some of you at the docks, I have a couple of questions about names of banks and such.

Well I know you wont miss me! That logo really gets the guys at the cleaning station thinking sometimes. The one guy there that cleans fish for you says I drive away business because they think I am some type of Fed!

Don't mean to jinx anyone, but the weather looks to be shaping up quite nice for you all heading out there. I am going to head up to Sanich Inlet for shrimping Saturday and then back out to Coyotee bank for Hali on Sunday. We will be staying in Friday Harbor.

Wohoo!! I guess I don't have to carry my own fish!!
Seriously, If I see a couple brought in the boat, by anyone, I will be happy. Love to watch the catching, no matter who has the pole in hand. (not that pole!)
