Default Coolers which one?

During my resent Elk hunting trip,we discovered an interesting thing concerning our coolers ,there was 8 coolers in camp half were Igloo and half were coleman, after a week of hunting we discovered that the Igloo coolers had over 3 times the ice left in them, some where opened more than others i.e. beverage coolers but that didn't seem to matter.anyone have simular results, which one do you use.....keep cool Osprey

O's
Igloo coolers rule for keeping ice solid. I use my coleman coolers for dry boxes now. I bought a couple igloos after camping for a week a few years ago in the Ochocos in 90 degree weather and I ran out of ice and my brother was still loaded with ice in his igloos.

Sorry about them dawgs getting duck poop on them last week. The flat tails are headed your way this week. Being a Beaver, and having suffered for years and years and years in the Football department, I can only hope for additional success again this weekend. All the dawgs have to do is stop Simonton, if that is possible. Will you be fishing in Orange and Black after this weekend?

I suffered thru the Avazono years which is as bad as it gets for anybody

I've tried Coleman, Rubbermaid, Igloo, etc.
Hands down, Igloo is by far the best.
Igloo has a 120 Qt. cooler that has a small hatch in the lid so you can get into the cooler without opening the whole lid. This is a nice feature. I bought a couple at FMS for $60 each. I use one for taking care of fish and the other for camping trips.

Keeping the contents cold is important. What I want is a cooler that the handles don't brake off of. I'm tired of cheap plastic handles held in place by tiny little screws.

Do they still make a cooler called GOTT ? Had one of those as a seat in front of my center console on my first sled. It was tough enough to sit on. Nice solid molded in handles and kept things very cold. I don't see them around anymore.

I have an Igloo that came with my boat. It was fitted with pad so it can double as an extra seat. We stored some food overnight and neglected the ice. Night time temps dropped into the lower 40's/upper 30's. Next day at high noon and the temp was in the 70's we checked and our food/water was still cold. Best damn cooler I have ever owned.

As 'Eggs said, my Colemans are used for dry boxes and fishbait only.
