I went to the site and I found one clip in there That I am in. LOL it's one were they were doing a pers trans to a sub I was in the bridge of the sub. Kind of cool That happend in 93

I love the choice of Music P.O.D is one of my Favorite bands from when I lived and worked in Long beach. Still one of my Favorite bands They are going ot be playing portland next month on the 20th my son and I have out tickets already. rp

The AV-8 is a BAD bird! Used to love watching them and the A-10's drop live ordinance in NTC.
Gotta love the secondarys on some of those bunkers. BOOM!

I used to be on one of the ships that launched Harriers. LHD-4 Boxer. I commisioned it in 1995 I believe. I think they show LHD-5 and 6 which are the BATAAN and BONHOMME RICHARD. Big ship. Its flat bottomed and rolls like you wouldn't believe in the rough stuff.

Close. Those are LHA ships (Landing Helicopter Attack). I was on LHA-1, the TARAWA. One other sailor and I wrote the air traffic doctrine for that class ship. Brings back old memories from the late 70's.

I could swear that they were LHD's. Thet had some LCAC's in the video and I just assumed with the number scheme. My brother in law decomissioned the Tarawa. Anchors Away.,

kewl when I lived in Huntington Beach and then Newport beach and Irvine and Holly wood way back when I was up in Long beach all the time...spent many times up on that hill where that radio tower is...hehehe...and alot of times at the docks shipping cars overseas...where you at the base? OOOOO the good old days! :grin: back when I was sixty pounds lighter and had hair... I use to get mistaking for the bass player in cinderella all the time. My wife didnt know be back then and she was looking at one of my scrap books and asked who that girl was...yours truly...LOL..heading down that way tomorrow I will have to swing buy holly wierd and go buy the wiskey or the roxy for a drink to the old days...but heck they might not let my fat ass in there....LOL...Southern cal brings back lots of good memories.

lived neer redwood and 7th spent a lot of time in Orange and garden grove. Spent the summer taking care of a frineds house out on balboa that was a great summer. rp
