Default Sandy River

Blown out as of this morning. I am interested in how the river fishes this week as the river falls. Please post any reports.

Today's 5 pm drive-by showed no improvement. Still the color of a strong cup of coffee with a double cream.

I live on the Sandy near Welches. I don't know what has happened, but in recent months the Sandy get much muddier, much faster that it used to. The gravel near my house now ends up with a covering of fine brown sediment, even after moderate rain. Something significant must have happened upstream or in one of the tributaries. Anyone know anything. I'll post as I find out more.

Mr. D.
Do you or does anyone else know anything more about when, where, how the slide/road repair work was done? There are laws that should be enforced to stop erosion into the river.

There was a slide which wiped out Hwy 35 caused by the White river, but I hadn't heard of any other slides. The rain over the weekend saturated the snow and glaciers on Mt. Hood ... as the warm water melted the snow it pooled, then broke through, causing the flood. Sounds like the condition hit both sides of the mountain.
