Default Duck Fans thread has post delay syndrome :)

Much to Osprey's temporary relief, his "OK Ducks Fans" fantasy thread has a delay for posts to show up. Due to 3 things: So many pre-game posts (mostly by the Wizard of Os). Several after game posts at once. And of course, internet sabotage by the embarrrassed Os trying to hold off the "music" he earned . His Duck soup became Dawg poop! And he has 2 years to listen to it ring in his ears. Hang in there posters, they will show up within a couple hours or so. In the meantime, these aftergame lockeroom pics just in ... posted below. - RT

How did the fans treat the dawgs today? I know they were going to beef up security after last week's UCLA game but I didn't know how Rick and his crew were treated after the game today,

I don't know Eric. I didn't notice anything during the telecast and I haven't watched the sportsnews. I sure hope they showed more class than last week. Harmful negative things that go beyond benign ribbing fun are low and classless. If the students behaved they should enjoy their win. If they were really jerks or worse, the win becomes pretty hollow. Let us know what you find out. Thanks. Is it my imagination or are college kids getting way out of line in too many places in recent years? What can be done? - RT

Just got back from Eugene and am still savoring the win. It didn't end any too soon; you could sense the momentum shifting in the 4th Q. And we need a new kicker....the game shouldn't have been as close as it was.
The fans were the usual Duck crowd, meaning vocal and a tad obnoxious (they booed the UW football team, the UW fans, the UW marching band, the UW cheerleaders, etc., etc. Also lots of chanting late in the game: "Over Rated....") A great time was had by all (except the UW folks). Didn't see any confrontations or unsportsmanlike fan behavior down on the field, though.
As for what can be done about the college kids getting out of line, in a word: nothing. That's the way it's been for as long as I can remember it. (If you think the football fans are roudy, you should have seen Mac Court during the Harter era.) In fact, this is my first trip to Eugene in 10+ years. The town hasn't changed, the people look the same, it was like being dropped back into 1974. Can't believe it's been that long since I was a student there...

You think you feel old......I was there in 74 and your right it's like Eugene was left in a time warp and hasn't changed one bit, but hey that's part of the uniqueness of the city.

I'm right here Neut and as I said before am more than man enough to stand up and take my hits
(should'nt be quick to judge, heck you've never even netted a fish for me )
My congrats to the Duckies, the played a great game ....it was a little nervous there toward the end huh.I would also like to thank the Duckie kicker for keeping us in the game.
I won't snivel about not getting any breaks, bababa.
But I said before I have room for 1 duck fan on my Cat,I would like to take you're kicker but he needs practice, after watching him kick I doubt if he can handle real pressure ...like netting my fish
And don't ever diss my Emu she's the only one who understands me (thanks for letting me borrow her Steve,I'm sure she missed you too)
like I said room for 1

Gee Neut, good point! Where do you suppose the Offspray flew off to. It takes more than an emu to face up to his very well earned comeupance. It takes a man. But ya know what, I think Os is a man and will show for the stack of ribs that await him. He likes to hunt. Do ya supose he's out hunting real ducks? If he gets a couple I hope he has a better retriever dog along than a Husky . - RT - BTW, how about those Beavers! Ya! Since I'm an OSU dad now I'm elated I get to go watch and cheer for a much improved team. 4-0 record. And just polished off some Trojans. Beat 8th ranked USC too . Any Dawg gone predictions for the UDub vs Beaver game, or do they have a bye this year? At this point I would think the Dawgs might prefer that. Can you imagine how far those Dawg tails would be tucked between their hind legs if they lost to both Ore. teams in one season; having been rated no. 6 and having a Heisman candidate QB?

Osprey, get yer tail feathers down here
for some Tillamook action and I'll net or
knock your 50# hawg (not dawg) off with the
net. Whenever you're ready, bring Dan as well. Dawgs better watch out for the Beavs.
As far as polls go, they don't mean squat.
The game on the field pretty much confirmed
that. Hope your fish tasted good.
