John Day Area

Going over near john day to go yote hunting with a friend. Was wondering if anyone has been over there lately? I would like to try some varmit hunting if the snow is gone.
Any suggestions?

There's still alot of snow in much of the high country. Many of the roads are still impassable. You might get permission to call yotes on some of the ranches in the valley. Last I heard, Bear Valley still had several feet of snow!

I am able to get on a ranch, but would like to still hunt the valley some where. Talked to someone this week and they said they saw some varmits running around when the sun came out?

Just an idea, head out and try area around Fox, not sure about permision but you could probably stop at the little mini-mart in Mt. Vernon and ask someone about where to go, lots of nice country, yote lookin country.
