Default Pot Holes ?

Thinking of taking the kids & parents to a new place. Brownlee has been awesome in the past, just wondering if anyone has the low down on Potholes Res. in central WA. The drive is a little closer, wonder how the catchin might be.

I have been there several times and enjoyed it . That said i have never come close to catching the number of fish in Potholes that i have at Brownlee .

Shalom- Thats what I'm araid of. My crew is really spoiled from the Brownlee trips, but hopefully we can get something dialed in with a new place closer to home. The parents are 70, and my youngest is 3. It is getting harder to coax them into the 7hour drive

I've fished the Potholes for over 20 years now with my family (and my parents long before that) and bass fishing can be outstanding at times. Lately smallies have been much more productive, with most coming off the face of the dam all the way from the Mar Don down to the east spillway. Largemouth can be found in good numbers out in the dunes but you typically put more work in for those. I have a jet so I can get into some skinny water, allowing me to chase them down, but without a jet it can be kinda tough in lower water conditions.

As for smallies, pitching grubs and plugs has always been the ticket and for largemouth in the dunes everything from spinnerbaits to plastics work.

On top of this, it's a great place for kids and to relax if you find the right spot.

Good luck, and if you need more info let me know!!
