Hey Timber, I saw a bumper sticker with your name on it the other day. "Hug a Logger, and you will never want to hug a tree again."

Back in my largemouth bass tourney days, I primarily used Owner hooks. I loved them. They seemed twice as sharp as the Gamakatsus. But, they were also almost twice as much in price. I haven't seen any Owner hooks except for Off-Shank used for lizard and plastic worm fishing. If I had known they made them for other species then I would have been fishing those instead of the Gamas, although I like my Gamas, but Owner just rules.

Oh yeah btw, Roll Tide

Do all fishermen lie, or do only liars fish?

Not sue wich is wich, one of is like a regular hook it just has a point on it. the other one has what I guess you could say a knife point on it. that is the one I use and would not use any other kind of hook you need very little effort to set the hook. well hope that helps i can look in my fishin stuff and let you know for sure if you wont.

Ive been tesing out Owner hook for about a year now. Saw a guy last year hook and land a 43 lb chinook on an owner and that hook went right threw the bone of the fishes head. Havent caught that many fish this year, sadly to say, but they are sharp and strong. I think though, Im going back to Gamas as they are just a sharp and strong and MUCH cheaper!

Never thought I would ever hear Gammis and Cheap uttered in the same sentence.

Almost too strong. I quit using them in
tidewater. As stated above, in tight
quarters with no drag have pulled them
right through the jaw.

Broke a hook
Man it must be the water down there or I just need to eat my wheaties,
I've been fishing for Salmon and Steelies for 30 plus years and have never broke a hook ,I've used Mustad ,VMC, Owner, and of course Gammi's
Gammi's drive in faster and Owners tend to hold better,I miss my old Mustads,I still use Gammi's,I have tweeked quite a few Gammi jigs hooks also........Good Luck
