Surf perch??

Sounds like a good way to spend an afternoon, but I don't know much about it. Can anyone share some info?

On the incomming tide, you can use sand shrimp or clam necks, two hook set ups with 2oz lead work great. Any spot on the beach where it drops off quickly. Go to any bait store and they will point you in the right direction.

FYI-Pacific city is where I have gone, but most any beach will do as long as it dropps off quickly near the beach.

Good luck, have fun, but keep your eyes peeled for bigger waves or debris.
