THANK YOU Jen & Bill
A BIG Thank You for the wonderful ifish party. What a lovely setting! It was sure a pleasure to meet so many of the ifish group for the first time. Everyone was a friend immediately. It took a lot of work to sponser an event like this, maybe we can get a few more attendees next time, and the fish may even be hitting. What a concept! Thanks again for a great time!!

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
It was wonderful to put faces to names, finally. What a great group of people! Isn't it fun to get together with people that have common interests?
Bill & Jen; are you sure the house is not for sale?

YES! Thank you Jennie & Bill for inviting us. The food was great and the atmosphere was romantic with the tiki torches lit.
Lets do it again next year. I'll be waiting.
I'm glad you liked the oysters!

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
How many people went? I didn't see anything about fish being caught, so can I assume none were? Wish I didn't have to work.

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
What a great party! It was so fun, I don't know where to start, but the only fish I know of that came in was caught by hooksets boat.
He is a great guy! Everyone was great though! What a bunch of nice people!
There were, oh say, 60 people trickling in and out. Prob 40 to 50 at one time.
The food was out of this world! Oysters, deep fried turkey, crab, smoked tuna and salmon, fresh salmon, corn on the cob, pickled everything, umm potatoe salads, other salads, fresh veggies, hamburgers, hot dogs! FOOD!
DRINK! FUN!
It'll have to go annual, folks.
But for now, I must rest! Been up since 6 cleaning, and the house looks all untouched again... I kind of liked it messy and friendly!
It was so fun having people in the yard, like having neighbors!
Anyway, off to fish I think.
Thanks so much for coming. I only wish I would have had time to get to know you all better!
Jen

Thanks Jen and Bill for the party, It was a great time and camping on the river was great. It is just too bad the fish are'nt there yet. Oh well That just meant I had more time to sleep off the wine and beer I drank.
Thanks Superfly

Your home is buitiful and it is one of the best outings I have had in a very long time!

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
Jennie and Bill,
What a party, your both very gracious hosts and I just can't thank you enough for all your hard work. Thank you! Everyone who did not attend really missed out on a great time. Even the weather cooperated, nice and sunny (no rain). The food was excellent and accompanied by all the great Ifish people. Now I can put some faces with the handles.
Great parties are usually held in some of the most exotic (not to be confused by erotic) locations on earth. And let me tell you, this party had location location location location. What a great setting for a party, could have easliy accomodated 1,000 people, right Jen??
Maybe the fishing wasn't great, but who cares. The party was!!
thank you Jen and Bill,

Jen and Bill,
Thanks for the great time Saturday. After reading some of the other posts, we apparently missed out by leaving as early as we did. Bait-O-Eggs wore us plumb out on the bay - Roy thanks for the great day! Anyway, it was really nice to meet the other members.
Thanks!

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
Bill and Jen, Thank you sooooooo much for getting this party together for the ifsher's. Sure met some nice people, along with eating all that great food. I'm all for making it an annual thing, maybe you Jen can be like the chairperson. That way you can tell everybody what, where, how, and that way it won't be such a big load on you. You sure worked hard on getting this together! Big Thanks again.........Bobber Down

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
Jen,
You sure know how to throw a party. That was incredible. I don't think I've ever been around so many good fisherpeople at one time, you know it's cool when you open a cooler to get paper plates and the name on the cooler is Buzz Ramsey. It was so much fun. And the food, Wow it was good. Pilar sure can smoke a tuna mmmmm. It was great to finally associate faces with names and I look forward to fishing with you someday. And lets give a big hand to Jen, our new big toe.

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
Jen & Bill
Thanks for the Party. It was extremely nice to get to meet some of the regulars on the BB. Looking forward to future events.
It was a split decision to bring the 3 year old son or leave him at home. While trying to converse and being continually disrupted by my son I was thinking it was a bad decision. He was asleep before I go to the top of your driveway. The next day he was telling mom about the fishing party we went to. He was excited, telling about little details like the boats he saw. Makes me think it was worth the trouble. Maybe it will pay off in the future, with good fishing outings for the 2 of us.
Thanks again, Jen and Bill are a class act.

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
You 2 are such nice and fun people Jen and Bill. Thanks so much for all your efforts toward a great party! Yay for an annual event if possible. So many nice and fun people. Too many things to remember, but a few stick out in my mind: Meeting Pete Morris who is a behind the scene contributor to Ifish program tech. Thanks Pete. PILAR'S SMOKED TUNA (and kind comments). John Rowley's funny stories and great looking steelhead fly he gave me (his business is Jigbug; jigs and flies). I had stuck the fly on my shirt and when I set my drink on the ground to put a vest on it got knocked into Margaritaville; yup, right in the center of the glass. It floated in that stuff w/o muscilin too. And of course a party isn't complete without tilting the portable outhouse partway over with somebody in it. Sorry about that Chris (Sessions, my fishing guide buddy from Wash.). Let's call it payback for you trolling the boat between 2 charter's out from Depot Bay while I sat helplessly on the porta-potty in my open sled so long ago. Couldn't have done it without Ryan's help (ramstrong). And Bill Heater, thanks for the safe offshore boatride and not letting me drive home that night. BTW, how's the bump on your head from hitting Jen's flowerpot? I won't say how that happened . Thanks Bill Hedlund for taking such good care of all of us! Getting some great fishing secrets out of good fishermen, like guides Dennis Stewart, Jim Erickson, and tackle rep Joe Superfisky .... jk, they kept tight lipped (but only because they weren't asked; right guys?). Thanks to Gregg (Hookset) for volunteering his 22' semi-vee sled to take out a family of fishers; and getting the only fish among us (when we left the marina around 1:00 the ODFW fish counter had counted only 4 fish for over 200 boats - yikes!). RAIN PLEASE! And thanks Jeff (Jeffhead) for not dissin' the fishin' bud. It gets much better than that, as you will find out in a few weeks. And NO, I won't "guarantee a fish or I'll .....". I found out by talking with Roy (Bait O' Eggs) that a couple decades ago I used to fish occassionally from his family's Trask R. property. And he brought a future fishermen (his son) that I figure he'll be teaching to row in a few years so Roy can just kick back and hold a rod. Dot and Bev uniquely cooked a turkey in an upright pot of boiling oil. Yuuum! Marie and Dennis of Tillamook Bait Co. brought big fresh oysters that got gobbled up. I luckily got in on their haul of BIG fresh sardines (to fish with, not eat); better get over there to get some of them! Hey Andrew and David, the next time I'm there in the daylight maybe we can we shoot a game of b-ball h-o-r-s-e? Meeting so many other people was fun. So many other things I can't remember (excuse my memory- it got a little foggy). To top off the night for a few of us leaving late I got Jen to get on the piano, with cold fingers in Margaritaville yet, to play us a few numbers. Wow! AWESOME!!!!! I've never got to listen to a concert pianist in person that has played for U.S. Presidents. I want to be able to play like that. Maybe in another lifetime. - Thanks again Jen & Bill. - RT

Re: THANK YOU Jen & Bill
I just Thank Jen and Bill enough. It was the most wonderful weekend Ive had in a very long time. Hookset helped by letting myself and three boys ride in his boat. My 16 year old was lucky and hooked with first Salmon thats to Hooksets guidence. All the boys said it was the best trip ever. I wish I had been able to stay at the barbque longer, but the boys heard the crab calling them at high tide. I was unable to come back as I had wanted. Thank you to everyone. I enjoyed meeting those I did get a chance to meet. We send Jen a picture to post of the fish when I get them developed. I only took 15.lol Thanks again.
